Although I love doing many types of bdsm play, for me, there is something special, centering, and deeply connective about rope work. I took a great class from Don Sir last year and it made me think about all the amazing rope artists we have in Southern California, and I wondered why there wasn't an event for us all to come together to learn and share. My goal for this event is to bring together people from diverse parts of the kinky community to get to know each other, share knowledge and safety tips, and have some fun with classes and demonstrations for all levels of experience. Jason R
Jason first entered the world of S&M and D/s in 1986 and has been teaching for more than ten years. Rope bondage has been an integral part of his play for much of that time. He views the merging of rope and the human body as an art form and utilizes a mix of styles in his play.With interests ranging from rope, leather and duct tape bondage to formal training techniques, roleplaying and latex, Jason loves everything kinky. He believes that a good imagination, attention to your sub and a willingness to follow your instincts is the key to a great scene. "The Art and Science of Rope Bondage"
Rope bondage is both art and science and is something everyone can learn. In this class participants will learn the basics of rope bondage safety and techniques with an eye to the aesthetic. Practical techniques that can be applied to many different situations will be taught along with specific ties in different styles and positions.In balance with the science is the art of rope bondage. How is rope used to enhance the appearance of the person being tied? What styles work with different genders and body types? How can the style, color and appearance of the rope and how it is applied enhance the overall scene? The Art and Science of Rope Bondage class is about both the ‘how' and the ‘why' of this fascinating form of restraint that everyone can learn and enjoy to help them develop their own visual style.

CharlyB
CharlyB is a familiar sight doing rope suspensions at most of the major clubs & events in and around Hollywood with his lovely selection of models who rave to work with him. His unique style, which he describes as 'Bondage Burlesque', is sure to entertain and excite.

Don Sir
Don Sir has been active in the Southern California leather/bdsm scene for more than 14 years as a player, performer, educator and lifestyle dominant. He has held the title of Mr. Long Beach Leather 2007 and competed in Chicago for the title of International Mr. Leather in 2008. He has conducted BDSM themed classes in Hawaii and in Los Angeles at Lair de Sade, Threshold, Gay Pride LA, Gay Pride Long Beach, Dom Con LA, performed at various Bondage Balls and was featured in BDSM based movies such as The Joy of Sexual Submission, and " The Fashionistas". Don Sir is also a founding member of the Society of Monarchs, a group created to further the education and outreach and support amongst male heterosexual dominants in the BDSM arts and lifestyle.

"Partial SUspension: full Attention"
It used to be that a very small few knew how to do rope bondage, let alone suspension bondage, but it is fast becoming a favorite in the current local scene. As beautiful and mysterious as it is to behold, it is also very serious business where missing a single detail could make the difference between a successful and mutually beneficial experience, or a trip to the hospital emergency room. This class is definitely geared toward the more experienced riggers who are looking to add to their current skills or just learn a different way. Those looking to learn these techniques must demonstrate the ability to tie basic chest and hip harnesses as well as a solid understanding of suspension physics. Note: this will not be a full suspension class, I will not in good conscience teach full suspension for liability purposes. Areas covered: Brief dicussion of harnesses, rope tensile strength, overhead hard point load considerations, applied anatomy and physiology, as well as the psychology of bondage, suspension or otherwise. Bring your own rope, a partner, and a play bag.

John Paul 'The Pope'
The Pope is the Director and Rigger for all of the Dungeon Corp sites, as well as the main Dom for SocietySM, which has gained him recognition around the world. He has been in LA for a little over 5 years, and in that time he has made his mark, and gained respect in the bondage community. Aside from the BDSM world, he has also had his rope work featured in one of America's premiere fashion magazines. He has made it a personal goal to expose as many people as possible to the BDSM world and tear down the stereotypes that are affiliated with the community. Rope is his passion, from the basic to the extreme, and as long as he has someone willing to be bound, he will be there with rope in hand.

"Predicament Bondage"
Predicament bondage is simply the act of subjecting your submissive to a situation that forces them to choose how they are going to suffer with the options that you have given them. This class will demonstrate different ways of taking basic ties, using simple techniques, to create a much more involved bondage session. We will go over a variety of predicaments that transform something simple into something much more enjoyable and challenging for Top and bottom alike. We will demonstrate several predicaments from start to finish, so you will be able to see them completely unfold. This is not an introductory class and requires a good knowledge of simple and solid rope tying. The beauty of predicament bondage is that the only limit is your devious imagination and the durability of your rope bottom!

Ms Nikki Nefarious
Ms Nikki Nefarious is an an award-winning bondage artist, award-winning photographer, performer, and fetishist. Her rigging and photography has become a hallmark for her original styling and has gained momentum throughout the fetish community. Through her work she seeks to express her own innate creativity, sexuality, complexity, and, yes, nerdiness without regard to its relative shock value or banality. Her energy is exemplified through her fetishes, from bondage and objectification, to dominance and masochism, to edge play and back again. Ms Nikki Nefarious has worked with several top fetish companies as well as models and has traveled extensively for fetish and adult industry events as an educator, performer, artist, and photographer.

"Harnesses"
Learn to choose and use the harness to fit your needs. Decorative body harness, rope corsets, traditional Japanese harness, and basic suspension harness will be taught by Ms Nikki Nefarious. Whether you are new to rope or an avid rope enthusiast come get creative with rope and learn fun and and simple techniques to achieve beautiful and functional bondage. Rope bondage can be highly artistic and sensual. Creating a restrictive yet gorgeous harness can be an erotically tactile experience for both partners, symmetry and aesthetics add a visual indulgence to the sensation. If you've ever wanted to explore various bondage harnesses and learn to be more creative with your ropes this is the class for you. *This is an Interactive Class for please BYOR (bring your own rope) if you wish to follow along with the class.

"Bondage for Sex"
Come learn how to spice up your sex with bondage! This class will cover rope bondage safety, choosing the right type of rope, energy play, and versatile ties and positions for sexy bondage fun. Bondage for Sex is rope centric class for males and females, Tops and bottoms, and all levels of bondage experience. Ms Nikki Nefarious will teach a bondage for sex position that is comfortable for most body types and allows for dynamic movement to allow for various positions whether your bound bottom is male or female. *This is an Interactive Class so please BYOR (bring your own rope) for a hands-on tutorial, and while this class is focused on couples, singles are more than welcome to come and learn with the group. When you leave this class you will be able to successfully recreate the ties taught in this class.

Ogre Kabneched
John, also known as Ogre, has literally spent a lifetime pondering his own fascination with bondage and restraint. In 2000, he began an adult video production company in order to express his fantasies of bound damsels. He has focused the last 10 years of his professional and personal life exploring the eroticism of power exchange, control and helplessness. With an aggresive and physical style of play, Ogre uses very simple techniques to fully restrain his subjects, with as much emphasis on what to do with the body while it is being restrained as how the rope is being applied. "I love BDSM", says Kabneched, "and appropriately, Bondage is the first word in BDSM, and to me, it always will be the most important part of the equation."

"Controlling Thine Damsel"
What's a mild-mannered D/s Top to do when his or her bottom reveal their interest in capture fantasies? Have you ever tried to bind someone who wanted to struggle through it? All those shibari and harness techniques won't help you now! But Ogre will...In "Controlling Thine Damsel" Ogre will point out the large, and often misunderstood, gap between 'D/s bondage' and 'Captive bondage'. It will become clear that these two very different worlds of roleplay require a different mindset and a different skill set. This is an introductory class and demo focusing on how to control, bind and protect your bottom during a serious and aggresive damsel fantasy.

Pcuk
Pcuk’s background is in climbing, sailing, mountaineering, and lashing. He started his journey with rope when he was 5, and pissed off the cop whose son he tied to a chair. He studied (as a boy) under a couple (hetero) on the east coast who introduced him to Midori, who lit his fire for the more artistic and creative side of bondage. He has been performing on the east and west coasts for 15 years and performs at weekly events in LA. He does bondage rigging work for Titan, CanAm, MattRockAdventures, and many other adult companies. Pcuk has worked on many sets for theatrical movies, rigging and staging the fetish scenes for them, and has taught for OCLA's Sampler and Avatar. Additionally, Pcuk is currently a licensed psychotherapist.

"Rope on men"
This class will highlight single rope forms for the male submissive. Pcuk will explore forms that range from functional hogties to suspensions using a single rope, as well as a military hogtie and maybe inversion, depending on the time. In addition to technique, Pcuk will include narratives around the soft skill set involved as well.

Puppet
puppet has been an active participant in the public BDSM scene for almost 5 years now. A strong advocate of R.A.C.K. (Risk Aware Consensual Kink), puppet strives to educate herself and others about safe play practices as well as D/s and M/s relationships. Through the guidance of Sir Pyro, she has developed a comprehensive safety plan for working with rope and suspension, as well as other kinds of play. When not working as an SM educator, puppet spends her time as an SM performance artist, writer, student, and full-time slave to Sir Pyro.

"From the Bottom"
Sir Pyro's propety, puppet and wiggles, are both very passionate about and very experienced with bondage and suspension. This class is for P/people of all experience levels, whether rope bottoms or P/people wanting to learn more about rope from the bottom’s perspective. It will focus on safety, strength, and flexibility- all important aspects of the bottom’s experience. puppet will cover the area of safety, both physical and psychological, while wiggles will go over stretching and strengthening techniques that will allow a bottom to more safely participate in complicated bondage and suspension poses, as well as stay in positions longer. Rope bondage and especially suspension are not feats to just jump into; rope prep is an important part of the experience of being tied up, and that is what puppet and wiggles hope Y/you will glean from their class. Switches and Dominants are welcome to attend. E/everyone can learn something from this class.

Sir Pyro
Sir Pyro first ventured into the world of SM in the sixth grade with a fellow classmate and He has been playing and learning ever since. Though He did not enter the public scene until 2006, Sir Pyro has been playing and refining His skills as a Dominant for many years. After discovering a passion for bondage, Sir Pyro immediately began thinking of ways to bring His two loves, blowing glass and rope bondage, together. The result of this union is PKL Industries, it's a "Painful Kind of Love", but love nonetheless. Sir Pyro spends His time as a SM toymaker and designer, Fetish fashion designer, photographer, writer, rigger, SM educator, and SM performance artist. Sir Pyro can often be seen out and about with His slave puppet amd His submissive wiggles.

"Glass and Rope Bondage"
As founder and owner of PKL Industries, Sir Pyro is passionate about glass, rope bondage (a new form of play invented solely by Him). Thought Y/you knew everything there was to know about rope bondage? Think again. Though similar to ordinary rope bondage, glass rope bondage requires some specific techniques and precautions which Sir Pyro will teach Y/you. This is a hands-on workshop, so please bring Y/your rope and your favorite slave/submissive/bottom/pet/practice partner/etc. In this class, Sir Pyro will talk about what He has learned about rope over the years and common mistakes to avoid when Y/you first start working with glass rope bondage. Some of the topics that will be discussed are rope and glass safety, temperature play, specific bondage techniques to employ when using the glass, tie-in safety, and more!!! Wiggles
A member of the public BDSM scene for just over a year, wiggles has more than 15 years of experience in various dance disciplines, including a background in pilates and yoga. She has found that the flexibility and strength she has gained from her physical experience in the past has helped with various SM activities, specifically rope bondage and suspension, as well as slave positions and postures for impact play. She is committed to passing this knowledge on to others, so as to prevent injuries and ensure a more enjoyable play experience for everyone.
